Allah is the Arabic word for God in English. Muslims around the globe will use Allah to refer to God, regardless of their native language. Fun fact: Arab Christians also use the word Allah to call upon their God as “Father” in Arabic.

Islam is an Arabic word that means “submission” and “peace”. Muslim is also an Arabic word with the same root as Islam, and refers to anyone or any creatures (including plants, animals, and any creatures that can and cannot be seen) who fully submit to Allah. Only those who fully submit to Allah can realize true peace. After the Old and New Testament, Allah sent down the Qur’an as a last gift to humanity. One should seek to learn more after thoroughly reading the Qur’an.

The Qur’an is the direct, unaltered word of God. It was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ (this phrase ‘ﷺ’ means “peace be upon him”) through the angel Gabriel, and is still in its original form from over 1,400 years ago. Within this website, you will find direct quotes from the Qur’an (translated into English) on each respective subject matter.

May Allah guide whoever is seeking to know more about their Creator.
Ameen.
